The Making Of: BuDhaGirl Holiday Video
The Client
BuDhaGirl is a mindful jewelry company based in Dallas, Texas that is well known for their shareable bangles. They give their customers the platform to turn their rituals into positive and focused intentions through glamorous jewelry.
The Project
Fort Lion was tasked with creating an immersive holiday experience that allowed the viewer to immediately feel the festiveness of the winter season, while showcasing BuDhaGirl's various bangle sets amidst the decor.
Our Process
When we first began corresponding in mid-October about concepting a holiday video that highlighted the bangles, the client excitedly told our team about a colorful holiday tree-scape idea. With this in mind, the developmental stage was about allowing the client's idea to be the foundation of the concept, and then adding simple and seamless elements to create a structured and festive winter campaign that kept both the client's and Fort Lion's creative integrity. Under a tight deadline, we strapped on our thinking caps and quickly got to work.
The layers that we added to the initial idea included the type of lighting, camera equipment, and camera movement. With the christmas trees at the front of our imaginations, Joshua, Fort Lion Studio - Cinematographer, suggested using a macro lens to put the viewer amongst the decor and bracelets. This allowed for the product to take center stage by capturing their detail, and not be lost admist the trees. Once the date of the shoot came, the equipment elements were assembled, the trees were set in their place, and the bangles were dispersed. Yesi, Fort Lion Studio - Director, gave direction on camera movements and the models hand motions. All of which created an alluring winter wonderland that transported the viewer amidst the glitter and snow. Enjoy our video on my perspective behind the scenes of this shoot - thank you!
